All-In-One Binding for Scrapbook Mini Albums

In this tutorial I show how to make "all-in-one" pages that self-bind into the album - no need to make separate hinges since they're already included with the page.

You can download my printed directions that include photos and the measurements I used in this tutorial here:

(Cut the pages to whatever size you want. In this tutorial I have 6 pages, but again cut the number of pages you prefer and adjust the width of the spine accordingly.)

Make a Storage Binder for Spellblinders, Heartfelt Creations & Other Dies

Today I needed a cheap, easy and quick solution for lugging around my Spellbinders and Heartfelt Creations dies. I like to keep spare die-cuts with my original dies and I use plastic page protectors to keep everything together. A plain 3-ring binder does the trick but it was getting pretty thick so I tweaked my page protectors so that I can store multiple dies on the same page, each in their own pocket.

If you have trouble seeing the video, you can view it on my YouTube channel at

If you want to cover your binder, here's a video tutorial that shows how I cover a plain vinyl binder with scrapbook paper:

Making ornate corners on large scrapbook layouts using smaller Spellbinders frame dies

In this video, I show how I used my regular-sized Spellbinders die to punch the 4 corners on my large scrapbook layout. You can also use this technique in mini albums to embellish photo mats that aren't the same size or shape as the die. The die I used in this project is Nestabilities Labels 42 Decorative Accents.

Get more designs from your Heartfelt Creations Regal Borders Dies

I was tinkering with my Heartfelt Creations Regal Borders Dies hoping to find a way to get more out of them. By combining the borders with two passes in my Big Shot, I made some embellishments I can use in my greeting cards, mini albums and scrapbook layouts.

Some of you are probably already doing this - but my video below shows how I made these embellishments.

If you have other ways of using the border dies, feel free to post comments on my YouTube channel ( or this blog.
