Larger 6"x8" Pocket Scrapbook Mini Album

This album is constructed the same way as the mini pocket albums I made a few years ago in  Christmas, Halloween and floral themes. The smaller albums measure 5"w x 6"h with a 3" spine. This album is larger, measuring 6-1/4"w x 8"h with a 3" spine, but the construction is the same.

Watch a video of this album on my YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/xO_QQ6HkglE.

Download the cutting dimensions which includes both the smaller and larger size pocket albums from https://scrappinrabbit.files.wordpress.com/2018/11/scrapbook-pocket-larger-album.pdf, then follow the same instructions as in the 3-part video tutorial that you can link to from http://www.scrappinrabbit.com/2016/09/pocket-scrapbook-mini-album-tutorial_6.html. (In the tutorial, I make a small Halloween-themed album.)

You can see videos of each of my original pocket mini albums on YouTube:

(All of the tags I used to make my original mini pocket albums are available in the “Printables” section of my Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TheScrappinRabbit.)

Travel Themed Digital Printable Journal Kit

(You can also see this video on my YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/6leprq9j8eY)

I created this journal using my travel-themed printable journal kit. It features 9 of my own images that I transformed into pages, tags, postcards and pull-outs. Some famous travel quotes are included on the large images (some, not so famous, were written by me!) The set includes 29 pages in PDF format ready to be printed on 8-1/2” x 11” paper or cardstock. The following is included:

- 9 signature covers with brown background (can also be used as journalling pages)
- 9 signature covers with a blue background
- 6 pages of postcards (18 postcards)
- 9 sepia-type coloured images for use as cutouts
- 9 colour images to use as cutouts
- 2 long journaling tags

This listing is for a digital download that you print yourself, not a physical item. Once you purchase the set, you can download the two PDF files for a total of 29 pages.

ORDERING AND TERMS OF USE

You can purchase these printables from the PRINTABLES section of my Etsy shopDon't have an Etsy account? No problem - just email me at scrappinrabbit@gmail.com and I will send you an invoice and the printables by email.

You can use this set of printables in your projects as you wish for personal use. Since these are my own images, I give you permission to sell on a small scale (up to 100) completed projects at craft fairs or online. Please note however that you are not allowed to resell or give away for free the printable templates in printed or digital format.

Tutorial - Journal and 7 Removable Interactive Inserts

In this tutorial, I show you how to create from scratch a fabric-covered journal with button closure, 7 different styles of interactive “page” inserts (flaps that fold out, accordion mini pages, waterfalls, pockets, handmade envelopes, notebook for journaling), plus a plastic sleeve and a small notepad. Inserts slide underneath the elastic bands inside the journal cover so you can remove them to take with you. (Great for a traveler's journal!)

In the journal I make in this tutorial, there is space for 4 inserts, but I also show how to alter the cover to hold up to 6 of the interactive page inserts. The journal cover measures 4-3/4”w by 8-1/2”h with a 1-1/2” spine for the 4-insert journal, and a 2” spine for a 6-insert journal. The inserts measure 4-1/2”w x 7-1/4”h.
In my videos, I refer to my completed “demo” journals - for example I will show you the completed insert from my journal, then I show you how to construct the same insert from scratch. My demo journals were made using a mix of travel-themed paper stacks: “Fly Me Away” by Recollections and “Cartographer” by DCWV. The paper stack I am using for the journals I am constructing in the tutorial is titled "Storyteller" by Linda Wood. Use papers of your own choosing to customize your journals.

The tutorial is in PDF format and contains 60 pages of extremely detailed step-by-step instructions with photos that show how I created the journal and inserts from start to finish. Measurements are included for each piece you will need to construct this project. In addition to the written tutorial, I'm including free links to my series of unlisted ONLINE VIDEOS that show how to make the journal and inserts as I create a brand new set from start to finish. I plan on making these videos available to those who purchase my tutorial for as long as the service provider can continue hosting them for free.

To purchase: Please visit my Etsy shop to purchase the tutorial (https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TheScrappinRabbit). Don't have an Etsy account? No problem. Simply email me at scrappinrabbit@gmail.com and I will send you a Paypal invoice and upon payment, will send you the tutorial by email within 24 hours.

Terms of use: By purchasing this tutorial, you can make this journal for personal or commercial use. If selling these items online, please credit me by including a link to my website: “Tutorial for making this journal is available from www.scrappinrabbit.com”.

However the tutorial and videos are protected by copyright and may NOT be reproduced or redistributed for free or for profit.

How to make an Altered Book Stack

In this two-part video tutorial, I show you how to make an altered book stack. You can either use  boxes that you cut to the size you want (pasta boxes, small cereal boxes, etc.), or you can make your own boxes out of cardstock and chipboard.

(If you want to make your own boxes in a custom size, download the sample TEMPLATES where I show how to calculate the size needed to make the inside of a book and drawer.)
